Why do we keep track of time the way we do? We buy agendas and calendars and divide time in months, weeks and days. We buy clocks and watches and divide it in hours, minutes and seconds. And if you want more, you can always buy a chronometer and divide it in milliseconds. We are always looking to count it in the most accurate and precise way, using sophisticated devices. But what are days, hours and seconds anyway? What’s the point of knowing an hour went by if it felt like a year; or that a year just past in front of your eyes and it felt like a second. What if a second feels like forever and forever is only ten years? For a two year old baby, one year is half of his life. For an eighty year old man, a year can be just that, another year that went by just like the others. Time should be counted by moments, no matter how long they last. Time should be counted by heartbeats, by smiles, kisses and hugs. Because your heart will always beat as long as you are alive, as long as your “time”...
